Zaha Hadid Architects combine unique design and functionality

For photographer of architecture, the whole area and particularly the campus of library is incredibly photogenic place. Only in the entrance hall you can spend hours and you will not approach the potential that this project offers the photographer.

Not only the futuristic design itself but the effectiveness is one of the main domains that this project offers. Operation of Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien is compared to a separate ecosystem. Up to 25% of withheld rainwater is used for the operation of sanitary facilities and 13% for irrigation of green areas. Up to 50% of the energy for heating and cooling is ensured thanks to geothermal resources, low energy and water consumption and efficient sanitary facilities. In the case of the maximum load, the system is connected to the additional district heating. Of course there is also the use of solar energy. Heating, ventilation and air conditioning are optimized according to the actual occupancy of rooms. Lighting is also controlled by motion and light sensors.
